Today at approximately 12:00pm there was a water/flood event in building 143 DWAN/KE, Rm C-30, initial investigation appears to be a sprinkler head frozen in a non-heated area. Ron Madson, FM, contacted 911.
As many as needed from HS (FM) staff on scene and water clean-up is underway. Water contained to Mezzanine area and Basement flooding. This affected Chemical, Radiation, and Haz Mat waste rooms, along with Flammable Storage.

Afternoon update from Dan Lockren:
I'm happy to report that the 143 Dwan/KE water event has been "mostly" resolved we do have one big remaining issue and that is the condition and operation status of Freight Elevator H02900 which appears to be down for an unknown amount of time as we await a state inspection and develop a repair plan.
Please see Dan Anderson's the Elevator Program Manager response below:
"It could take a few days to get the information and proposal together. Inspection is scheduled this morning. Once the result is in hand from the state, the proposal will be developed. Todd King will not be the inspector on this one as he is busy elsewhere. Maris Cins is our inspector along with a QEI from Schindler".
All water has been removed, all impacted areas cleaned, and all affected occupants are able to go back to work.
The black hatch was left open to the outside and froze the pipe.

FM was able to identified the source of the freezing pipes and have taken steps to eliminate any future water events in this area.
