Tate Lab Physics pipe leak Jan 1, 2018

On the afternoon of January 1, 2018 a pipe leak was discovered inside SUP004 on the 5th floor of the Tate Lab Physics Building.  A cracked gasket between two pipes was leaking. JE Dunn the construction company in charge of the project was notified. FM is making repairs.

Both Neil Carlson and Mike Buck (DEHS) were contacted directly by Mavo.  DEM and UHS administration were notified via text by Neil Carlson.

Rooms in suite 301 and 401 sustained water damage along with a small area near the stairwell on the 5th floor. Mavo and Clean Response were on site drying out building materials and removing water damaged ceiling tiles, insulation and sheetrock.

Neil Carlson (DEHS) and Mike White (Mavo) will reassess the situation at 9 am on Monday.
