| Agar plugged the drain of this sink in room 253 allowing water to overflow. |
On February 6, 2015 at approximately 11:00 am Greg Hansen, DEHS observed water coming out from under the door in room 253 Borlaug Hall. Water was found to be overflowing a sink. The drain in the sink was clogged with agar. At approximately noon the DEHS main office was contacted, Neil Carlson DEHS responded on scene at approx. 12:45pm.

Water damage in 253 was limited to either side of the west door leading into the room and some boxes on the floor. Moisture damage was verified with a Tramex Moisture meter.

Water damage in 153 was limited to a few spots on the north wall in room 153. The adjacent room also had water damage near the ceiling. DEHS requested FM help to assess the electrical outlets on the north wall in 153.

FM coordinated by Michael McGill, will be removing the marked sheetrock and interior wall insulation in the hallway outside room 253. FM will also be removing the marked portions of the sheetrock wall in room 153 and the adjacent room to the north.
Greg Hansen, DEHS will be following up with the lab to prevent future incidents.
