Golf Course Club House water leak January 13, 2015

One of three radiator leaks on the second floor

14:26  Kirk Richardson notified DEHS of a water line break in the U of MN golf course club house.  A water line and three hot water radiator lines broke on the second floor on the west end of the building.

15:15 Neil Carlson DEHS responded.  Clean Response and Rick Goodmanson from Mavo Systems arrived soon after.

15:30 Water extraction on the first floor was stopped as the ceiling tiles and adhesive pucks above the south entry door were damaged and could possibly contain asbestos.

Water extraction continued on the second floor and in the basement.

Mike Buck and Sean Gabor were contacted.

16:15 At Sean Gabor's direction; John Allen from FM Haz Materials arrived to collect a sample of the ceiling tile and adhesive puck.  No asbestos floor tiles were found under the carpet on the first floor.

Golf Proshop looking east.  Ice on the floor of the adjacent room.

Temperatures to the north of the pro shop on the first floor were below freezing and water could not be extracted.

Cleanup will continue on January 14, 2015.  Asbestos sample results were negative.
