CCRB water event update - December 1, 2014

This hatch outside the building was open on Friday November 28, 2014

Area of pipe break inside building front door on first floor.

Currently it appears that the cold air entered the building through the hatch by the entrance.  The building is under negative pressure.  The cold air froze the pipe in the entry way.  It is close to a heater but the pipe is not insulated.  No information yet on why the hatch was open.

As part of the build back, FM will have the pipes in the entryway insulated.

Areas were noted for additional abatement today Dec. 1, 2014.  Mavo will be following up using containment as it is past the 48 hour wait period.
