Notes from 9am 12/1/2014 meeting notes by Miechaleen Diers
Attending: Mike Martin from OEM, Ann Martin from ORM, Rick Swanson from FM, Paul Wright, Micki Diers, Chris Wright from RBMS, Ed Craig from RAR , Scott Holm from Codes
- It is believed that a hatch left open outside of the front doors is the cause of the frozen pipe joint.
- Greg Casura has the piece that split and broke.
- It was decided FM will run point on this project and be the main source of communication out to parties involved.
- FM and ORM will work on getting a project work order to place costs onto.
- FM will let us know what info to provide Justin Yarrington at SMP to cover the security charges incurred so they could provide security for animal and research areas needing to be left open over the weekend.
- Scott Holm from Codes requested Rick Swanson work with him to get plans of the building to him. He requested Mark Litchke work with Clayton Talbot to get permits and inspections done to do build back. ***He indicated that the stair well affected needs to be built back ASAP as it is a fire rated area. This is priority and Mavo will be working on this first.
- Scott Holm requested a fire watch plan run past Chris Wilbur, FM will be doing this.
- Scott Holm requested from FM inspection paperwork be provided to them for fire panel and elevators affected.
- The sprinkler system in the lobby vestibule will need to be air tested and repaired so we have sprinkler coverage back in this zone, FM will keep us posted on this work.
- FM will also work to let us all know how long the water ran and how many gallons were dispersed.
- FM is working with LLS to check panels in the lobby for repairs.
- Mike Martin with OEM is going to try and touch base with MFD to see what the issue was with not being able to locate the water shut off immediately.
- Ann Martin of OEM will put Micki at RBMS in touch with Keith Nygaard to check out equipment and computers possibly damaged in this event.
- Micki of RBMS will send a list of rooms numbers and affected areas to Scott Holm.
- Micki will put Mavo in touch with Mortenson to help disassemble the wood bench in the lobby area to dry underneath.
- Neil Carlson of DEHS will be out at 11am to re evaluate the area with RBMS and Mavo.
- Mavo will actively work to remove any additional material found by DEHS asap.
- RBMS has asked FM to check out all outlets on the floor and near the floor for safety and use in Lobby/Atrium, along the wood bench a at the toe plate, and the main seminar room.
- FM will also work to provide info on the black composite material trim pieces. Does the vendor believe they can be re used or will new material be needed to be used. If so, what is the time frame to get this material?
- Micki RBMS will provide Mavo information on carpet for offices, cafe dining, and main seminar room.
- FM will provide carpet info on carpet for front and back entry.
- RBMS will work with Mavo to plan build back around research and occupant needs.
Followup items for Wed based on 11am walk around inspection with Neil Carlson and Mark Litchke, Mavo.
- 1-122 & 1-121 Fosters paint on drywall at cutout before build back
- Remove all black composite material base trim in all affected lobby, atrium, hall areas, Cut drywall or dry and re assess with Neil Wednesday?
- 1-107 all base off and cut holes to vent
- back lobby, all black base trim east of black composite bench remove, cut drywall or dry and re asses with Neil Wednesday?
- Remove all black composite material base trim around first floor bathrooms, cut drywall out
- Stair 3 remove all trim in this area and cut rock
- Video wall closets all ok'd as dry
- Front desk furniture and closet walls cut of trim removed and placed on blocks to dry and re checkWednesday
UFCR, FLow Cytometry facility
- 1-209A visit with Mavo and UFCR staff 9am Tuesday morning to pull trim on hood and evaluate
- place barrier up near wood cabinet on south wall in main area. Pull trim, drill holes, place air in on Tuesdaywhen hepa and fan can be vented out door of facility during business hours as door will need to be propped.
- 1-207 office good as is, build back approved
- 1-201 good as is, build back approved
- 1-233 good as is
- Remove all black composite material base trim ok from 1-220 going west
- from 1-220 going East remove all trim and cut rock
- 1-220A containment goes up in half room and vented to outside hall ***it is essential that NO dust be created here, build back first after stairs here so we can move other affected rooms into this space and get to the other UIC room affected.
- the remainder of UIC space to do will wait until 1-220A is completed (do not cut or pull trim yet)
UMGC
- will get containment placed for areas affected (North East corner) with Kenny Beckman to inspect prior to work being done
- Did we check Kenny's office Neil?
- Kitchen spaces here and office cubes all dry and ok'd for build back
- Core will try and remain 100% functional during
Mark Sander to let us know when his vendors can come out next week to move equipment, work to get movers here at same time.
- 1-210E all trim out cut rock
- Remove all black composite material base trim in affected areas in main seminar room
I will schedule time for Mark and Neil to meet again on Wednesday to re evaluate, please let me know asap if this time does not work.
