Reference material - 2011 WET force report
1. Improve GIS data for water related utilities, sprinkler shut off valves, chillwater, domestic water, steam and gas.
Responsible parties Ron Mapston and Dan Sward - Beth Louden assist.
The information may be available in the yellow Y2K booklets. Dan will work with Ron Mapston and emergency management. Judd Freed may have some of the Y2K information There may also be records in Donhowe. Dan will review the information. He will need some of the items tested to assure that the information is accurate. There was discussion about how the information should be shown (architectural drawings versus floor plans) The floor plans appeared to be preferred as they were easier to interpret. Ron will bring this up at the next AD meeting to be held in Sept. 2012.
2. Wet permit concept for filling and draining cooling towers.
Responsible party: Beth Louden
Provide written standard operating procedures for filling and draining cooling towers. There is a card and checklist that have been developed and are awaiting approval. This will be put before a committee for final approval. What committee???
The zones are working on IDing all of the spots for the chiller system. This has started on East bank. Not sure about other zones.
3. Training programs to assure 24/7 coverage for water response trucks.
Responsible parties: Neil Carlson, Denise Thomas, Dallas and Kyle.
Will need to inventory the equipment on the truck and assure that we have GFCI's, lights. Electrical safety will consist of GFCI and shutting down power Every mechanic was issued GFCI - Training - general electrical safety training won't put in insulated boots. Don't have enough people trained for at least. Training programs in person and on video. Training scheduled by end of September.
4. Training on what library and office workers need to do at 2 am when books or papers are wet.
Responsible parties: Bernadette, Neil, Kristia, The Libraries Preservation Strategist, Mary Miller, Custodial restoration staff
Training on how to respond to floods. Taking care of books and papers and saving items during a flood. The training would assist office staff, librarians and custodians. In person and on video. The library has already started collecting photos they will send to Neil to start the training video.
5. Water temperature alarms in high risk places HEAPR request.
Responsible parties: Larry Thompson and Ron Mapston
AD meeting will identify the top 25 locations on campus for cold temperature problems that would be amenable to either or both hold open alarms or temperature sensors linked to BSAC. Ron will forward this information to Larry who will request HEAPR funding.
6. Page 7 -9 implementation of recommendations:
Responsible parties: Neil C. Larry T and Beth L.
Neil will reformat and categorize recommendations on page 7 -9 by the end of September. This will be forwarded to Craig Moody via Neil C. Michael Berthelsen via Beth L. and Steve Pardoe via Larry T.
7. People implementing WET Force - Custodial Continuous Improvement Teams - CCIT

General discussion about how to improve notification process of unexpected Utility outage often due to a water event. Open to ideas - Maybe from Emergency Management.
