Food Ops Building 113 water event May 6 to 7 2017

OPS Water Event was noted late in the day (05/07/2017). Water affected the main area and rooms 130 and surrounding office spaces and conference room. A hot water faucet spigot from the coffee pot was left on and most likely running since Friday afternoon. We shut off water. I contacted OCS Rob T. and briefly discussed and updated him as well. Contacted custodial staff from St Paul and authorized OT to get things cleaned up. In discussing with Rob, Garrett S. Sup will need to follow up on as well when he and his crew come in tonight --- Kirk Richardson

On 05/08/2017 at 09:30 am, Kate Greenberg and Neil Carlson DEHS responded to Kirk Richardson's request to evaluate the area. Areas of water damage were marked. Some mold growth was identified behind the vinyl base cove on the south wall just to the north of 130F. As mold growth was identified, the removal of the marked material will need to be done under HEPA filtered negative pressure containment.
